Lily Allen in tears after punch up at her gig...

Lily Allen stormed off stage in tears at her gig at the O2 on Saturday night after fans started throwing punches in the crowd. The singer apparently told the crowd, after the two middle-aged men in question had been thrown out, 'It's fucking sick and you lot should be ashamed of yourself.' Aside from the incident, the gig, touted to be one of Lily's last before she retires from music, was a success. Lily also courted controversy however when she dedicated her song 'Fuck You' to David Cameron, who had been quoted as saying he banned his 6 year daughter from listening to Lily Allen because he felt the lyrics contained unsuitable content for children. Lily, apparently, did not appreciate the censorship.

Lil Wayne begins jail term for gun charges...

The rapper Lil Wayne, real name Dwayne Carter, began a one-year prison term sentence on Monday. Carter was arrested in July 2007 after a loaded .40-calibre semi-automatic gun was found on his tour bus. The sentence has been delayed twice, first because of dental work he was having done on his bejewelled teeth, and again because of a fire at New York Courthouse. The rapper is said to be keeping positive about his sentence - he could be released in 8 months for good behaviour.

JLS launch own brand of condoms...

Yes, it's true, the hunky quartet have been having discussions with Durex about manufacturing their own brand of condoms. The proposal suggests that each band member would have their own coloured condom. The group are said to be keen to promote safe sex; Aston commented 'My mum sends me down a stash (of condoms) and I dish them out to the lads so none of us have to worry. I'd really be up for doing some kind of campaign about safe sex.'

Gaga tells Ronson: 'Take some singing lessons.'

Mark Ronson has revealed that Lady Gaga told him to have singing lessons before recording new album 'Record Collection'.
The producer, who is singing for the first time on 'Record Collection', has reportedly taken singing lessons from Lady Gaga's voice coach after she suggested he took lessons whilst the two were recording in 2007.
The 'Poker Face' singer recommended coach, Don Lawrence to the producer before he started work on collaborations with the Scissor Sisters' Jake Shears and Miike Snow, "We were working in the studio and I started singing and she said 'take some lessons'. I started going last July and then I just went every week.
Recorded by Alex Greenwald, who sang vocals on Ronson's cover of Radiohead's 'Just', 'Record Collection' is the follow up to 2007's Version, which featured guest vocalists including Amy Winehouse and Lily Allen. It earned Ronson the Brit Award for best male the following year.
'Record Collection' is set for release in July, under the name Mark Ronson and the Business.

Lily Allen puts career break on hold to play Wireless Festival with Jay Z
It has been confirmed that Lily Allen has agreed to play London's Wireless Festival this summer at Jay Z's request.
The rapper became a fan after hearing Lily peform at last week's Brit Awards, and now Allen is confirmed to play before his slot at the Hyde Park event on July 4.
The 'Smile' singer had previously stated to Radio 1's Sara Cox in December that she wanted to take time off after her concert at London's O2 Arena with Dizzee Rascal in March. She said she wants to start her own record label, set up a fashion shop with her sister and spend more time at home.
At this year's Brit Awards, Lily Allen won the best British female award and sang her single The Fear. After the awards, Jay-Z admitted he was keen to be on the same stage as her: "I spoke to Lily Allen. I'm trying to get her for Wireless. Hopefully that goes through."
The Wireless festival takes place in London's Hyde Park between Friday 2 July and Sunday 4 July.

'We Can Work It Out' - EMI confirms Abbey Road Studios will not be sold...

After speculation that the famous Abbey Road studios were to be sold, the troubled record company EMI confirmed today that this was not the case. It had initially been reported that EMI, owned by the private equity company Terra Firma, was planning to sell the iconic studios in a bid to raise cash to clear their debts. Potential bidders included Andrew Lloyd Webber and the National Trust, among others, who announced an interest in the property. However, it was announced today that the studios, immortalised in the Beatles' Abbey Road LP, would not be sold, but instead 'revitalised', with English Heritage accelerating plans to list the building.

Doubt on the future of The Who as Pete Townsend's tinnitus returns...

The future of The Who has become uncertain as Pete Townsend, the lead guitarist of the classic band, revealed that the tinnitus he has been plagued with due to years of exposure to loud music is back. In an interview with Rolling Stone Townsend commented, 'If my hearing is going to be a problem, we’re not delaying shows. We’re finished. I can’t really see any way around the issue.' The news comes after a jubilant performance at the Super Bowl XLIV's half time show 2 weeks ago, with 150 million viewers tuning in. But now it appears it may have been the last live show for the erstwhile rockers.
